
Richard Lucas
Richard is a highly experienced consultant with over 35 years of international experience leading large-scale transformation and organization design projects across sectors. From energy and agriculture to automotive and construction, he partners with senior leaders to tackle complex challenges and build organizations fit for the future.
He has successfully delivered major transformation programs for clients such as EDF, BP, National Grid, Syngenta, and JLR. Richard holds a BA (Hons) in French and Sociology from the University of Reading, and his career includes senior HR roles in the automotive industry as well as leadership positions in PwC’s People and Change Consulting practice.
Richard is on the Board of the European Organisation Design Forum and Certified Organization Design Professional (CODP).
Recently, Richard advised a global renewable energy company on scaling their organization to support growth, and guided a global agriculture business in redesigning their Production & Supply, HR, and Sustainability functions to align with a new 15-year strategy. Previously, he led a combined consulting and client team over two years to design, prototype, and implement a radical new organization and ways of working for a French multinational building distribution company.
Richard’s expertise spans every facet of organization design, from strategy alignment and operating model design with executive teams to implementing change across front-line and back-office teams. His experience also covers diverse contexts, including strategic change, growth, new product and market entry, new technology, and efficiency improvement.
