Clive Smit

Clive works internationally across organization design and development, HR transformation, talent management, and leadership development in Europe, the UK, Africa, and Asia. He has led major organization transformation and operating model programs for client organizations in the energy, telecommunications, life sciences, defense, transportation, consumer goods, and industrial sectors.

Clive’s experience combines deep consulting expertise with hands-on leadership of organization design and development, M&A due diligence, culture change and talent management inside global organizations. He has held senior consulting positions at Korn Ferry, Deloitte, PA Consulting and corporate leadership roles at Syngenta and British Telecommunications. And has lived and worked in South Africa, UK, Switzerland and Ireland.

As a consultant, notable assignments include designing enterprise operating models and organization systems for Babcock International, BAE Systems, DCC Energy, Johnson Matthey, L’Oreal, Mauritius Telecom, National Grid UK and Sasol. He has also supported organisation due diligence and post merger integration at Korea Telecom, NTT Data and Syngenta,

Clive holds an MA in Industrial & Organisational Psychology and a Post-Graduate Diploma in HR Management from the University of Cape Town, and has completed executive education programmes at Harvard Business School and IMD Lausanne.

In a recent project, she led a review of a manufacturing organization facing the need to rapidly scale production, engaging the entire site leadership team to align on strategic direction and identify priorities for change. Her ability to create tailored solutions that meet each client’s unique needs makes her a highly sought-after partner in organization design.
